Verifying your Bidali mobile app account
If you haven't already done so, download the Bidali app and sign up for a Bidali account.
Once you have created your mobile account, you'll get a confirmation email. This will be sent to the address you provided during sign up. This is what it looks like:
The next steps are fairly easy. First, you have to click the Verify email button in the verification email you received. Then, depending on whether you open the verification email on your computer or on your mobile app, you will be guided through the verification process.
Opening verification in your computer
If you clicked this button on your computer, you will be presented with a QR code that you can scan using the Bidali app. Here's what that looks like:
Now you can open the Bidali app and tap the Scan button, this will open an embedded camera that you can use to scan the QR code.
Note: this step requires you to grant access to your device's camera.
Once verification is done, you have to Secure your Account. To do this, you'll need to set up a six digit PIN.
⚠️ It's of the upmost importance that you remember this PIN code!
Your PIN will be used to authorize payments and sign into your account.f you lose your phone or get a new one in order to recover your account and your funds you will need to have access to two things:
- The email you signed up with; and
- Your PIN code
Otherwise you will lose access to your funds and will have to contact our support team to help you recover them. your PIN will be used to authorize payments and sign into your account.
Opening verification in your phone
Verifying your account using only your mobile device is fairly similar to using your computer, except there won't be any QR scanning involved. Tapping the Verify Email button in the email we sent you will open our website and all you have to do there is tap the Verify me button.
This will open the Bidali app where verification will take place. Once verification is done you'll have to Secure your Account like we described above. Again, it's really important that you remember your PIN.
